Quick reference information on where to obtain vital records in the city of Las Vegas and Clark County, Nevada.

For those who prefer walk-in service, we have listed the physical address as well as the mailing address for the government agencies where records of birth, death, marriage and divorce are held. Relevant phone numbers are included so you can confirm  up-to-date information about the charges for services, or if you need to clarify anything about your records search.

CLARK COUNTY holds birth records since 1973 and death records since 1988.  Earlier records can be accessed via the state office. Contact details are:

Subject to county rules you may order birth or death certificates by phone, fax, mail, online or in person from the Southern Nevada Health District.  Phone number for inquiries is (702) 759-1010.

In Nevada, MARRIAGE and DIVORCE records are held at the county level.  For certified copies of marriage certificates, write to the County Recorder in the county where the license was purchased.  Divorce records are held by the County Clerk’s office, but only those which have first been registered by the Family Court. It’s recommended that you start your inquiries with the Family Court.
